Job purpose summary 

The CEO sets the company's strategic direction and vision, working closely with the board of directors to ensure the company's long-term success. The CEO is the highest-ranking executive in the company, and is responsible for creating, planning and implementing the strategic direction of the company. The CEO also oversees the day-to-day operations of the company, working with a team of executives to manage the organization's resources and operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide inspired, visionary and strategic leadership for the company.
  • Make high-level decisions about policy and strategy to drive growth and profitability.
  • Communicate effectively with the board of directors to keep them informed of the company's performance.
  • Act as the primary spokesman for the company.
  • Develop and maintain a strong company culture and vision that inspires employees and drives results.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee growth and development
  • Ensure the company's financial health through effective fiscal management, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and maintain the highest ethical standards
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, customers, and shareholders
  • Build strategic alliances and partnerships with other organizations to drive growth and innovation
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and effective execution of the company's strategy
  • Work closely with the organization to attract and retain top talent.

Qualifications

  • Master or PhD degree in relevant discipline or MBA.
  • Experience in executive leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with various business functions such as marketing, sales, finance, HR, etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate tasks.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven negotiations skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
