Job purpose summary

The Director of Marketing is responsible for driving rapid and sustainable growth in product demand and sales through effective marketing strategies and tactics. This role encompasses both product and corporate marketing, community relations, and marketing operations. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and leading high-performance teams, and creating and implementing data-driven marketing programs that align with company objectives and goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and implement data-driven marketing strategies that align with company objectives and goals, with specific measurable objectives such as increasing website traffic or lead generation targets.
  • Develop, lead and inspire high-performing marketing teams, with a focus on collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Create and implement a dynamic outbound channel marketing mix allocation based on data and metrics.
  • Proactively test new messaging with potential users and buyers to validate the approach.
  • Successfully drive demand generation through a mix of channels, such as SEO, PPC, email marketing, content marketing, or event marketing.
  • Create and implement brand awareness campaigns across all digital and offline channels.
  • Design and implement high-impact programs to optimize the marketing and sales funnel.
  • Manage the marketing budget and forecast, and contribute to the creation of a comprehensive global marketing plan.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices, and continuously innovate and improve marketing tactics.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. or higher in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in developing and leading marketing programs, with proven track record across both online and traditional channels.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform marketing strategies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with partners and 3rd parties
  • High level of integrity, with a quality-conscious and reliable work ethic
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate a marketing team.
