Director of Regional Sales


Job purpose summary

The Director of Regional Sales is overall responsible for building and leading world-class sales teams and delivering the best possible customer experience, for a specific region or market.

Key responsibilities

  • Builds, leads and motivates the business and revenue of the regional sales teams.
  • Responsible for analysing market dynamics, and thereby maximizing the current successes and creating new sales opportunities in the region.
  • Trains the sales teams on the topics of competitive products, regulations, trends, customer needs and pricing for the current and future product portfolio.
  • Creates and reports on metrics to measure team performance; and continuously improves.
  • Ensures that the regional sales goals are aligned with and support the goals at the corporate level.
  • Effective pipeline management to ensure that leads are moved through the stages in a timely manner, the activities also include prioritization of leads according to corporate goals, workflow management and opportunity management.
  • Provide ambitious and accurate 12-months rolling sales forecast for the region
  • Recruits, hires and trains staff members and fosters a successful and positive team environment
  • Represent company at exhibitions and trade shows

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equivalent experience is required
  • Strong international sales, marketing and business experience in a relevant industry.
  • Deep understanding of a sales process and industry best practices.
  • Relevant experience leading sales teams.
  • Excellent in building and maintaining strong customer and partner relationships

  • Regional market and customer knowledge.
