Job purpose summary

The Hardware Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of engineers and overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality electronics products. A successful EM has a deep understanding of electronics engineering principles and practices, as well as experience managing and leading teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, quality assurance, and software, to ensure that products are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
  • Develop and maintain engineering processes and standards to ensure that products are developed efficiently and effectively
  • Manage engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Ensure that the engineering team is using best practices and tools to deliver high-quality software products
  • Support in recruiting and hireing top engineering talent to build a strong and effective engineering team
  • Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to team members to foster growth and development


  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics and design engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of electronics design and development principles and practices, including lean methodologies and principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
