Job purpose summary

The Planning and Logistics Manager i responsible to lead the supplychain and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics operations, ensuring that products are delivered efficiently and on time.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain management strategies that optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve delivery times
  • Manage the planning and scheduling of production, ensuring that all orders are processed efficiently and effectively
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and partners, ensuring that they meet our quality and delivery requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs across the supply chain
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock levels are maintained at optimal levels to meet customer demand
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, such as delivery times, order fill rates, and inventory levels, and take corrective action when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to supply chain management, including safety and environmental regulations
  • Lead and manage a team of logistics and supply chain professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in operations management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
