VP of Operations

Job purpose summary

The Vice President of Operations will oversee the company's operations and drive operational excellence across all departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the business operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with our company's goals and objectives. The VP of Operations will work closely with senior leadership to establish and implement operational strategies and policies that optimize performance, streamline processes, and promote growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all departments
  • Oversee all aspects of operations, including supply chain management, logistics, inventory management, production, and quality control
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure that the company's operations are aligned with its overall business strategy and objectives
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, cost savings, and quality enhancements
  • Collaborate with other department heads to identify and implement new technologies and processes that improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage the budget for the operations department and ensure that all expenses are within budgetary guidelines
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and partners
  • Ensure that all operations are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Identify and manage operational risks and develop contingency plans to minimize their impact


  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in operations management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver results within budgetary guidelines
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
